02Legal basis

What Article 4 of the AI Act is.

Since 2 February 2025, Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 — the European AI Act — requires companies to ensure adequate AI literacy in the staff who use AI. In practice:

  • It applies to any company using AI at work.
  • Recital 20 makes it clear: no exemption for SMEs or by sector.
  • No grace period — in force from day one.
  • Penalties set by each Member State.

Who has to comply

Any company — SME or large — whose staff use ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Notion AI or another AI tool. One person and occasional use is enough. It covers every sector: marketing, accounting, logistics, healthcare, industry.

What counts as literacy measures

The European Commission clarifies that companies may organise the training internally — there is no official certificate and no mandatory provider. What's required is documented training action: who was trained, on what, when, with which materials. That documentation is your proof in an audit.

Who this is not for

If you need DGERT-certified training (IRC tax deduction or the 40 annual hours under the Portuguese Labour Code), this programme is no substitute — it's private. If nobody in the company uses AI (not even occasional ChatGPT), Article 4 doesn't require you to train yet; you can wait until there's adoption. Either way, we'll tell you on the call.

If you need to cancel

Deposit · 290 €
Refunded in full up to 7 days before the session. Inside that window it's retained — it pays for the reserved date and the preparation already done.
Balance
Refunded in full if the session doesn't happen, whatever the cancellation date. You only pay for training that's delivered.
Rescheduling
Once, free of charge, up to 48 h before. Anything already paid carries over to the new date.

If we're the ones cancelling, we refund everything — deposit included. Full conditions in clause 10 of the Terms and Conditions.

Before you decide

  • Yes. The AI Act has required it since 2 February 2025. If any employee uses ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Notion AI — even just occasionally — the company has to provide training. It doesn't matter whether it's marketing, accounting or logistics. We've written in detail about what Article 4 of the AI Act requires of your company.
